Felt I was deserving of a treat last night, so after the reviews & pics I thought I would give it a try.
Certainly was not disappointed - LA they are good pics of the interior but somehow do not quite do the actual place justice. Very light, airy & clean. Staff very good, quick, but not hanging over you. Best food presentation on a plate that I have seen in Thailand (but I don't do 5* very often :D ). Good tasting food as well.
A tad expensive but, in my opinion, good value for money.
I will be back again - but not every week.... :D
Thanks for the recommendation folks....

Just a quick note of a minor point: The decor is clean and modern. The quality of the furnishings and finishings are not up to par with the appearance.

Still, I like it there.

Interesting that they use bird cages around the lightbulbs dropped from the ceiling. Didn't notice any birds flying around the place. :D

We went there yesterday for lunch. The only guests. Would be a pity if this one closes due to no customers - everytime I pass there I don't see anyone inside...but the food is really excellent. Me and wife ordered several menus because we wanted to try their sortiment and had been excited with everything. Now poom bui...

Great news. Could someone advise as to the location? Is there a particlular offering that is recommended?

it's down from the koala bar (now closed, i think), heading toward night market/train station turn, couple places before the traffic light, past zap bbq. sets back and has a driveway for parking, so take it slow.

read the menu carefully. as some items depending what order, have different prices, which is explained on the last couple pages, w/steaks and fish. as one forumite found out, fish and chip is priced ok, unless picking a differnt fish, unknown to him, was a wee bit more in price, so a little sticker shock and value for money shock when bill arrived. some thai, some imported, so read carefully.

but i enjoyed the place, also a 5 % service charge is built in to bill, says on menu, but just in case you miss that, tip accordingly. i liked everything we got, as did Ree and Gem, on above posts. don't know what to add. a diverse menu, so take your time. 8)

enjoy :D

I had the pork steak in some kind of sweet sauce (date I think). It was very tasty. Minor point, it came with french fries & I wanted mash. When it came it still had french fries on the plate & a separate serving of mash... :D Oh well I nearly ate it all & still managed a pancake sweet.... :D :D

Tried the place a short time ago, thought I must after sitting for ages watching LA's pictures loading.
It was lunch time, only 3 other people in there.I had fish and chips and being slightly deaf didn't realise what the waitress was on about when she asked me what fish I want, never heard of either, but apparently I chose the most expensive, thought I was getting a meal for under 200 bht, but it turned out nearly 500.Without alchohol the bill was over 800bht for two of us.A bit much for lunch. Decor rather spartan. Service passable. No real complaints, apart from price differential, but don't think I will ever go back, an opinion shared by my wife.Okay but many other places we prefer.
LA. have you got an interest in this place? I see you have started an album on Flicker named and devoted entirely to it.

I've eaten there three or four times.

It's a nice change of pace with good food, good service and friendly staff. :D
