Wonder how this works? If you go into one of the Super Rich locations with a grocery bag full of baht, would they exchange for, say, dollars on the spot? I read a story about a Filipino boxer who came to Bangkok for a bout and was promised he would be paid in USD but the Thai promoters handed over his prize money in baht. More than a million baht was involved. The fighter and his entourage spent the rest of the night scrambling around Bangkok looking for money exchangers before they could go back to the Phils. Is this the same deal?
