Explosion in Kumpawapi .

Just getting first news of an explosion in Kumpawapi at an army display for the children's day. No details are yet available, only the messages flying around the emergency services. If anyone living local can update the situation would be grateful .Lets hope it is not serious. Will post when I learn more .

Have the details now and it's good news . Apparently the army fired a missile into the air which exploded and rained shrapnel down on the watching crowds, slightly injuring two young children. The display in Tambon Pandon was promptly terminated.
Not so good news from a children's display in Chiang Mai though when an army parachutist candled and plunged to his death in front of the assembled audience.

I don't speak Thai but that get has got to hurt. Doesn't seem to me like safe demonstration at least for the kid in the video. Interesting while coming back from Nong Sai today saw a neighbor with car Trouble. She has a good size junk of metal in a rear tire that looked very much like shrapnel. Connected or not you tell me I don't know?
