Maybe a big closing down party will happen, lets hope the cleared land won't stay an empty dust bowl that attracts heaps of rubbish for too long.
So does this mean D2 and the garage workshops at the rear will also go at the same time i wonder.

I'll personally miss the place. I met a lot of people there over the years and some of them were damn nice people. It was like being in a real life soap opera, one of those places you dont find very often. I must admit though, that moving these bars out of sight of the general population is a good idea. Still, it's a shame :(

The closure of Farang Alley doesn't affect me that much. I only occasionally frequent a couple of places there.

What will affect me is the loss of the parking facilities. One of the things I like about Udon is the hassle free availability of parking. If this goes the side streets are going to get jammed up and driving is going to become even more of a PITA.

Yes the parking could be a problem, where are all the hundreds of pick-ups and cars going to park on a saturday and sunday.

Just spoke to the manager of Robinsons and she told me that Central (The apartment store chain - as in Central World etc.) has bought the Complex and all it's surrounding land (including Falang alley).

That is the main reason why they are finally going to make some changes - including knocking down Falang Alley.
