Firefox 6 Released

Post by jackspratt » August 15, 2011, 4:42 pm

The latest version of Firefox is now available for download. It is released officially tomorrow.

I have installed it - not much difference on the main screen, but some goodies under the bonnet (see "Whats New").

Warning - some plugins are not compatible yet.

What! You trying to tell me my Windows 3.1 has been upgraded as well! Only had it a week hot off the shelf from the local computer store here in Ban Dung. Bit of a problem though, came in a set of black paper envelopes about 5 x 5 inches, still no worries the store was able to sell me this new fangled thingy to slot these condoms into and get em working.

Next you'll be telling me I might be able to replace Mrs Dero and her peddle dynamo with mains power to get my IBM AT going but, alas, she ain't broke yet either!

I find when I take the Beta versions--I often have problems with some of the much needed Add-ons like linkification etc,

I notice that they are working at rectifying this --

However if you take a beta version and feel you want to replace it----- this site will have all FF programs.

I don't want to install FF6 as I use some addons that still don't support even the 5th version of it. Plus, the higher version the more RAM it takes.
