Firefox

Good Afternoon Frans.

After telling the system to accept the "not trusted" sites, I don't get any messages or problems the next time.

Yes, I managed to copy my Firefox bookmarks across to "My Documents", so have them backed up just in case. I'm fine tuning my tabs today.

I've also put a new battery in my PC to see if that will solve the boot up problems I've been having on it. It "loads defaults" upon booting up, and I have to press F1 to proceed. Then I've been having to reset the date and time (every time I use the PC). - It causes the AV programme expiry date some confusion, as it starts with the 1st Feb 2005 each time. So I hope the new battery will solve that. If not, it maybe a new hard drive and a new installation of Windows 7 and everything else all over again. The mouse/screen has been freezing up sometimes, which reminds me of a damage to hard drive problem I had a long time ago. So I'll turn off for a while and then back on again. I'm hoping the battery will solve all ills! [-o<

Hello Arjay,

The "non trusted site" are a normal firewall behaviour, problem solved :-)

The link I send you to "shange" bookmarks and passwords between computers have a Dual purpose. You can reach everything, From whatever computer or country where you reside, So long you use Firefox, And have or install(ed) this little programm on the computer in front of you, By the unique Firefox Sync Key. This bookmarks and passwords are safely keeped on the servers from Firefox. Just in case you travel around and your laptop go's to heaven Or losing memo stick where you keep the back-up.

As I understoot from your other post, You are using Vista on the laptop and XP on your desktop, Have you switch operating system in the meantime to Windows 7, On your computer?
This could give some of the problems you describe by not properly working memory&proccesor or hardware.
That's why I send you the link before, To scan your computer (Before installation of Window7) to see iff your system is OK fore Windows 7

Iff the new problem you describe in your last post is not solved (and I believe this) by replacing the batery. You could think about the option to "REPAIR!!!" your operating system. But only repair!, This wil keep all your other progammes and sethings.

To do this you need a instalation DVD and key number. (Incase your XP is not **** you cane tick the option to not registrate during operation ;-) )

How to repair XP: (Scroll down till you see "How to Repair Install")
