So maybe this time next week the first salvos will have been fired as Liverpool and Everton prepare to battle for top spot in the second tier of the Premiership next season ! (sorry I.A. ](*,) )

BBC wrote:Carlo Ancelotti has been propelled to favourite to land the £6m-a-year manager's job at Stamford Bridge. Sources in Italy say owner Roman Abramovich has made the AC Milan boss his personal number one choice. (Daily Express)

But Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon would prefer to interview several candidates, with Blackburn manager Mark Hughes also a front runner. (Daily Express)

Another target, Roberto Mancini, faces a messy legal battle after his dismissal by Inter. The Italian manager refused to accept the Milan club's £4m severance package offer and will fight for more money. (The Guardian)

Ex-boss Avram Grant has admitted he thought he would be in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat for the full four years of his contract and has unleashed some revealing opinions about the club, prior to his short reign.

"The club is overshadowed with constant wars as part of its strategy. The coach fights with the owner through the papers, fights with other clubs and other managers." (The Sun)

Hows about this as a possible managerial merry go around....

Mark Hughes takes over at Chelsea.
Sam Allardyce takes over at Blackburn.
Avram Grant and Henk ten Cate take over at Man City.
Jose Mourinho takes over at Inter Milan.
Steve McClaren takes over at FC Twente Enschede (wish it would be Chelsea :D )

That still leaves Roberto Mancini,Frank Rijkaard and Sven Goran Erikkson to be fixed up.

Ancelloti as the new manager of Chelsea ? Dont really rate the guy,to be honest.
He's got a lot of resources at his disposal but has only won the Champions League in 2007.This season they struggled to make the top 4 in La Liga.AC Milan (apart from Kaka)come across as a team of ageing superstars who only turn it on when they want to.

Well the "special one" is going to Inter for certain, no longer a rumour... :D

Mourinho takes over as Inter boss

Chelsea could miss out on one of their top targets, Blackburn boss Mark Hughes, after he was given permission to speak to Manchester City. (Various)

John Arne Riise will head the summer exodus from Liverpool by joining Roma for £5m. (Daily Express)

I've always rated Mark Hughes as a manager but not sure teaming up with Thaksin at Man City is the right move for him.
A bit of a poisoned chalice....what happens next season if City have, say, only 8 points from their first 10 matches ?

So whats the betting that Sam Allardyce takes over at Blackburn ?
And for Chelsea, looking more and more like Mancini......but,hopefully,Steve McClaren :D .....norfolkandchance !
