I just wonder what John Terry thinks about it all ?
300k per week is one hell of a lot of money and more than double what he is getting at Chelsea.
It certainly will be a test of his loyalty (as indeed it would be for anyone whose salary could be more than doubled).
Fair play to him if he stays loyal and opts to stay with Chelsea.

And talking of Chelsea.....
They have made a couple of signings.Ross Turnbull,Middlesboroughs reserve goalie presumably as cover for Cech and Daniel Sturridge a 19 year old striker from Manchester City.Apparently Sturridge is an excellent prospect but has an attitude problem so,no doubt,Drogba and Anelka will help him develop that further !
Also they are rumoured to be signing the CSKA Moscow winger,Yuri Zhirkov for 19m.but as it was reported in the News of the World its doubtful if it will actually happen ! :D

According to some of the press back pages Chelsea have now put a figure on "not at any price" :D :D

Chelsea are willing to sell captain John Terry to Manchester City, if the Eastlands club offer £40m for the England defender.
Full story: Various

Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo, who has joined Real Madrid in an £80m deal from Manchester United, says La Liga is now better than the Premier League because of the quality of players arriving in Spain.

Nothing like having a good opinion of yourself, is there.... :D :D

:D :D The News of the World!!! :D :D

Just checked the Chelsea website. He has signed subject to a medical and personal conditions. :D But there again you'd think he'd sign "after" a medical and personal conditions were agreed. :(

Rumour has it that Colchester Utd have been bought by a North Korean backed conglomerate and they have test fired several legal issues into the FA thus resulting in the FA's and UEFA allowance to include Colchester Utd in the upcoming Champion League draw.
Despite protests from other Associations Colchester have been seeded number 1 and will automatically get a bye to the final which is now to be played in Pyongyang.
When our reporter questioned the FA's actions FIFA boss Sepp Blatter declared "Would you mess with that mad f..k"

AH you had me believing Roy - up until the Sepp Bla quote - everyone knows he would have said something like....
"This is in the best interests of the football from a world perspective. The game has become too English & European and Asia is the way forward. If this experiment is the success we expect then the FA cup will be held in Colombia, or Nicaragua."

A great pity for fans that the Matt Le Tissier's Pinnacle group deal fell through I think....

According to our friends at the Daily Mirror,Manchester United are considering a bid for the 27 year old Inter Milan and Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic valued at 30m.
Could be a tester for the United shirt manufacturers if the deal goes through......at least Jan Venegor of Hesselink looks likely to be joining Bristol City according to the BBC. :D

Soddit... :( :( :(

Liverpool have been rocked by the news defender Fabio Aurelio could be out for six months after he picked up a knee injury in Brazil.

Reports say the full-back injured his knee while playing football with his family back in his home country and he could be ruled out until the end of the year.

The news is a major blow to boss Rafa Benitez ahead of the new season as the injury-prone 29-year-old had finally established himself as first-choice left-back at Anfield last term.

Aurelio's injury means Andrea Dossena could now stay at the club and compete with Emiliano Insua for a first-team place, although the expected arrival of French youngster Chris Mavinga will also add to Benitez's options in the new campaign.

According to Sky Sports,Bayern Munich and France winger,Frank Ribery,is "odds on" to join Liverpool !
Must say I'm surprised, especially with the hefty price tag placed on him.

Real Madrid have said if they fail to get Ribery they will target Arsenal midfielder,Cesc Fabregas.

Man city are making a third offer on john terry priced at £40 million not a youngster anymore and a dodgy back not worth more than 15 in my opinion.

Bad news for Manchester City fans as the new season approaches.....

Just hours after pulling out of a deal for Barcelona striker,Samuel Eto'o,Manchester learned that their defender,Micah Richards,is stranded on holiday in Cyprus after tests proved positive that he has swine flu !

"At first I thought it was a really bad chest infection,or maybe alcohol poisoning  ." he told The Sun.

If that was the The Sun, I'm surprised, to cover both pieces of news, they didn't headline ''Adieu to Eto'o and Atchooo!" Yes or No? Obviously, I'm not a lot to do this pm.
