Another player hoping to complete a boyhood dream.

Joleon Lescott to discuss future with David Moyes

Joleon Lescott will plead with David Moyes, his Everton manager, to be allowed to talk to Manchester City.

Everton rejected a £15million bid on Friday for the England defender, who travelled to the United States yesterday afternoon for a club training camp in Seattle, but he has told team-mates that he wants to hear their plans.

City are expected to raise their offer to about £18million, with Mark Hughes having identified Lescott as a priority while continuing his pursuit of John Terry, the England captain.

Lescott, 26, is not a natural agitator and is reluctant to antagonise Moyes by pushing for a transfer, but he believes that joining City would strengthen his claim for a place in England's starting line-up in next summer's World Cup finals.

Ha! The grammar I quoted wasn't mine, it was Beeb speak. However, I can confirm Sven is going to Notts County because it was on Radio 4 so it must be true.

Looks like 2 Liverpool players are on their way to Real Madrid.

Madrid have upped their offer to 30m for Alonso and have offered 3.5m for Arbeloa, who has only 1 year left on his contract.

Mascherano still want to leave Liverpool and go to Barcelona.

Benitez is also interested in re-signing Robbie Keane for 20m, after admitting he had made a mistake.

But isn't he on the same wacky "personal" (i.e. owned by a person, not a club) contract that Tevez is/was???

Was that in signing him, not playing him once he had, or selling him at a loss??
I know the word loyalty barely creeps into football today....but, looking at it personally... would I go back & work for a manager that, obviously, thought I was a bag of **** the previous time I worked for him????? If it was an offer I could not refuse maybe, but it would have to be dam good.... :D

Spurs drew against Barcelona in The Wembley Cup. Good result (even in a friendly). I think they will be a different proposition this year with Harry in charge from the start..
United won 3-2 to FC Seoul, but I have not seen any reports... Their aptly names Angolian striker, Manucho (who managed only 2 sub appearances (1 in League Cup, 1 in Premiership) has gone to Real Valladolid. Look for him scoring a hat full of goals there next season :D :D

Crouch to spurs - not much surprise there. Harry always seemed to rate him & the big & little up front idea...

Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Arsenal defender Kolo Toure in a deal worth £15m, while the Eastlands club also expect to sign Chelsea captain John Terry and Everton defender Joleon Lescott by the end of August.

******* hell is all I can say - if true...
However, Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has stirred the pot further by backing City to win the Premier League this season. "Adebayor up front with Carlos Tevez - unbelievable... City are Champions for sure," said Mourinho.

ha,ha,ha we will see special one - or is that your next job???

In fairness (forget the attack for now) if they got the all defenders they are suppose to be after they would not concede many, even with injuries. United very much won it last year on the back of going so many games without conceding (remember when looking at United's stats they had a couple of games which defy description :D ).
Just feel that City's approach is as scatter gun as Chelsea were when they hit the jackpot.... :D But in a couple of years...... :yikes:

Tottenham striker Darren Bent has seemingly launched a scathing attack on his chairman Daniel Levy with the help of social network site Twitter. (Various)

It appears the 25-year-old has become a little frustrated with his desired move to Sunderland currently stuttering.

"This is the longest day in the world because I can't wait to get started," one of his Tweets is reported to have read.

"Why can't anything be simple. It's so frustrating hanging round."
