Hamilton, Button, Webber in that order. Obviously a strong British bias to my choice with drivers and car manufacturer. I like Webber, consider him an adopted Ozzie as he's lived in the UK for a long time.
Dislike finger pointing, I'm not to blame, Vettel and the egotistical, cheating, moaning Alonso. Unfortunately I think Vettel is going to win this years championship.

Hamilton then Button, though I wouldn't be upset if it was the other way round, and yes I'm biased too. :D

I certainly don't want either Alonso or Vettel to win it, I see them as spoiled primadonas, particularly Alonso.

I would have been happy for Massa to have won yesterday, as I think he deserves some of the breaks, and it would have kept Alonso's points lower. I still think Hamilton and Button will make it through. Hamilton particularly tends to be able to rise to the occasion and pull out the extra stops when it comes down to it. Button tends to be more steady & mature and makes some very sensible tyre change/pit stop decisions.

McLaren have also got a very sensible team behind them, much less prone to the silly mistakes of both Ferrari and Red Bull. ;)

Hamilton - Button - then a Red Bull for the World Championship. If a ferrari (who now have the pace) is in among the first three let's hope it's Massa rather than the winging Alonso although I should think team orders will prevail.
I noticed Button going wide on a couple of corners without any traffic around him costing him a bit of time, not as consistent as Hamilton in OTs' opinion.

Hamilton is certainly in a good position & has to be caught. While he might not win another GP this year he seems pretty capable this year of finishing high enough up the leader board for it not to matter.
According to the commentators at the weekend Vettel has not managed to win 1 of the races he has actually started in pole position which is not a good record.
Personally I would like to see Webber win it as he comes across as the good guy who is even crapped on by his own team, let alone battling the others. A very difficult task for him though - because of the above...

It is good to see that the top man at Ferrari is so apologetic about the debacle at the weekend - NOT!! :(

Bob, I don't know if you D Load the BBC post race Forum.
But it gave me much cause to rejoice, viewing the sidestepping, evasive answers and squirming from the Ferrari camp. What a debacle ! The post race press conference was laugh., the press just ripped in Ferrari, no holds barred.

If I was Amedeo Felisa (CEO of Ferrari S.p.A) I would blow their communications chief in a heart beat, he was inarticulate, evasive and blathering, a direct contrast to the polished style of Christian Horner, when handling interviews over the Red Bull wing controversy. he was smooth, seemingly genuine and honest.

The no team orders rule is full of good intent, but almost impossible to enforce, so it should be dumped as much as I agree that its in the best interests of promoting entertaining racing.

I am in UK at the minute FB, so I , sort of, watched it live.
Dear old Eddie had a real go at Ferrari - which I think is more about history than anything else :D - & they certainly did not come out of the press conference looking anything like good.
I agree that the 'team orders' rule does not really make much sense in the real world & there is more than a little truth in what Ferrari say about it being what everyone else does....it is just, in the past, Ferrari have been exceedingly quick to jump up & down about breaches of the rules (real or imaginary) by others, so it is nice to see them get some of their own medicine back!! :D :D

I should think that every team order that's broadcast to any driver whilst the race is on will be slightly more encrypted from now on.
If you hear team orders such as "scratch your balls" or "there's a elephant on the track" you can take it from now on that that means - "get the fcuk out of the way and let the number one team member pass".

I thought Button's comment about the Ferrari, Alonso/Massa incident was amusing and to the point. Button said something along the lines of: if my Race Engineer came on the radio and told me that my team mate behind was faster (than me), then I'd go faster! ;) :-"

The next race is Hungary, this coming weekend!

There's a discussion about Hungary and the new wings (with "flexible parts"), here:

A bit more about the Massa giving way to Alonso incident:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsp ... 868309.stm
I am not a number two at Ferrari, says Felipe Massa .......

Felipe Massa insists he is not playing second fiddle to Fernando Alonso in the wake of the 'team orders' controversy at the German Grand Prix.

The Italian team appeared to give Massa a coded order to allow Alonso through to win and have been fined $100,000 and could yet face further punishment.

Massa said: "When I say I am a number two driver, I will not race any more.
"I've spoken to everyone inside the [Ferrari] team - and I'm not just here to race, I'm here to win." ..........

Asked what he would do if the same situation arose again on Sunday, Massa - who insisted after the race that it was his decision to let Alonso pass - simply responded by saying: "I will win."

Let's hope he comes third this weekend then, AFTER Hamilton and Button (if they can get their cars sorted out!! ;)

Hungarian GP, IMO one of the most boring races in the GP calender. Unless it rains it will be a procession. You've have as much chance overtaking as you have of overtaking a convoy of Thai buses. Assuming Vettel doesn't muck up the start again it's going to be Vettel, Webber, Alonso, 1,2,3.
Looks as though Red Bull and Ferrari have pulled a fast one on the other manufactures with their flexible front wings. There's meant to be an 85mm gap between the wing and road, but under speed their front wings are almost touching the tarmac given them an estimated 1 second a lap advantage.

Excellent race of Webber, he has something special in his car as he managed to get nearly 2 secs ahead every lap!
He built up 25 secs, enough to change tyres and still have 5 secs left, again built it up to more than 20 secs.

Schumacher/Button and others 3 secs slower each lap, is it the cars or the drivers, or both?

I noticed Kubica has introduced the Thai car driving system: went off from pits without looking back: banged against Sutil, both cars out...

Vettel got a drive-through penalty for again not following the rules, time the boy grows up!

Yes, good result for Webber, disappointing for the McLarens. I think it's the cars - some hiccups in recent modifications and flexible wings.

A shame that Alonso and Vettel didn't collide and take each other out!!

I was outraged by Schumacher's behaviour, though I see today he's got his come-uppance - a penalty! There should have been a hefty financial penalty too:

You're right about Schumacher Arjay, absolutely impossible what he did and it's not the first time, I remember numerous nearly accidents with Damon Hill and Schumacher.

Of course he's upset with everything and everyone, his return was a mistake, his team mate Rosberg is far better, he is lucky when he starts around place 10 and finishes the same. Then to be taken over by his former team mate Barrichello who was always his assistant is hard to accept for spoiled world champions like him.
