Golf Courses

Postby Kudjap or Bust » September 7, 2006, 9:25 am

Are any of the local golf courses 18 hole? And are they decent courses / difficult courses? Do you have to be a member to play? If not whats the average green fees?

These are questions from a friend in Australia, he and some of his golf club buddies are having a golfing holiday in Thailand and they'd like to play in different areas / provinces. They're starting their trip in Pattaya but don't want to stay there for the full 2 weeks. They're last game is in Bangkok the day before going home.

My friend has the job of finding good courses for them to play. These guys all play on low handicaps between 1 and 4, or so he says.

Thanx thats great info, I should have looked there myself, getting lazy I think. I'll pass on the url

Can any of the golfers who've played the 18 hole courses tell me how good / bad they are. Are they courses for experienced players etc.

There is only the one 18 hole course available, Victory Park near Nong Khai.
Yes, it is a nice challenging course, but IMHO it would not be worth making a special trip just to play this course.
Far better to play the better courses around BKK.

Wow, just found this url for the thaigolfer website

Didn't realise there were so many golf courses in the North East. I guess some are 9 hole though.
