golf drive yrds

well after another rainy week in england were we managed to get our annual game in at the belfry were i manage to take the victory out of the hands of one of my steady eddie pals.We love playing there but i cant wait to get to the thai courses were my ball will bobble on an extra 30 40 yrds and make my drives look a lot more impressive with the help of my mates sky caddie i measured a 240 yrd drive held up by a blob of mud is this any good just wondering what an average drive is for you guys out there on an english bog are an dry tinderbox (i will take 20 yrds of for the fishermans tale )

I find my drives are shorter in Thailand than the UK. UK fairways are drier in the summer, shorter grass and more roll. maybe a good drive in the UK around 280. Here I find the fairway grass longer and over watered meaning I usually get back spin on my drives. Average drive here around 250 yards.
