Good map of Bangkok

Postby Ricohoc » July 5, 2007, 11:26 pm

Anyone know where in Udon Thani I can get a good map of the City of Bangkok? Would any of the bookstores in the Mall have them?

Would be helpful to have in locating major highways, government offices, transportation depots (train, bus, airports).

Any help is appreciated!

I know that B2B (??? That isn't the name but it is B2 some other letter  - the large 'office supplies place' on the way to TOPS on the 3rd. floor of the Complex & also in Big C) have good road maps of Thailand. Some are in Thai only  but some are English/Thai. These contain street maps of all the major cities in Thailand. I haven't specifically looked at Bangkok but some of the other towns/cities are very detailed... Not cheap (about 700 bhat from memory) but I am pretty sure that they had just city maps there as well...

I recommend "thinknet"'s Map Magic.
299 Baht from book shop next to Tops... it's a map and CD of the whole of Thailand, zoomable to 1:5,000 and it's in Thai and English.
I've found it really useful ;)

Thanks, guys!

I might swing through there on my way to the Night Market on Saturday.

yes it will, have a copy loaded up. it's very good for inter province and smaller areas that don't have a more detailed map available. but for major cites, maps on internet, of hand held map is much better. for bangkok, the free maps that have as shopping guides in most stores or hotels are excellent, as good or better than what you can buy. have one, water resistant map that i bought, very good, but the free ones i mention actually have more detail. when i travel to bangkok i take a few for detail.
