Good Value Golf Equipment Supplier and Repair

Postby BillaRickaDickay » June 4, 2011, 11:07 am

I need to buy some Golf Shoes and to have one of my clubs regripped, I used to use the Thai fellow near Nutty Park but I noticed his shop has gone, I have looked in Sports World in the Complex and the quality of the shoes are poor and they asking silly money, Plastic shoes costing 2,500 up, leather they were asking 7,000, Maybe I am out of touch but in the UK I can get a good pair of Leather shoes for about 50 quid.

I would be grateful for any advice as to where to go, Thanks

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Golf gear prices in Thailand are a rip off. Footjoys are nearly double the UK price. Myself and some of my friends buy our golf gear in the UK and bring it over here.
I've not been, but have heard that sometimes the Retail Outlet, next to HomePro on the ring road, have discounts on certain things.
Regarding the grip. I've used the guy out at the driving range near the airport before for new grips, changing shafts etc.
See you Monday?

Have to agree with that, apart from the fish food (that I buy locally) I also bring most of my golf gear from UK.

With regard to the future, it will be interesting to see if the change in ownership of the “Titleist Footjoy” brand from the US to Asia will change their rip off prices in Thailand.

A couple of weeks ago Fortune Brands in the US announced that they had agreed to sell “Titleist Footjoy” to a Korean group for 1.225 billion USD – this is the press release for those who may be interested:
