yes, i bought if for scuba diving, to find wrecks, and if out and about, especially in a park, just in case i loose my bearings, i can find my way back before stars and snakes come out.
I am curious to know if you are using the local datum for Thailand
Most handheld GPS units default to WGS 84 (though can add user defined datum) Thailand uses the Everest 1830 Ellipsoid and Indian 1975 datum
The three parameter shift to WGS 84 is Dx 209 Dy 818 Dz 290
checked my settings, it is fairly user friendly, East Asia and Thailand settings. the default in the book says WGS84, not sure if that auto changes or even needs to with settings. the numbers represent lat/lon,
using degrees/minutes (degmin)
that's about all in know, entry level model, Mag. 310, no mapping, which would be useless here anyway. does let me know my spedometer on car is way off though, and that i just passed my turn again to go back to the hotel, another u-turn.
