Groundbreaking for Udon Hospital Parking Facility

For those who have tried to find a parking space while visiting Udon General Hospital:

The city broke ground today on a 10 story, 600 car parking facility that is scheduled to be completed in 14 months. The facility will cost 77 million baht.

And I bet the actually spaces are measured for small cars and not for Pick ups .

I bet the first day of opening will see the first scrapes.

I love the way Thais negotiate car spaces and forget to use reverse parking first up. mean while 5 turn parking will never die !

Any idea where it will be built? I can't see much vacant land around that area.

The article mentions building the garage behind new multi-story building (built in honor of Luangta Maha Bua). It's to be connected to the main building with a variety of wheel-chair friendly walkways.
Page 20 of the hospital master plan at http://udh.go.th/meetingwithlove/01.pdf shows the parking lot behind the brownish building at the bottom right hand side. Judging from the photo, there's lots of changes due to take place at the hospital over the years, including a ?planned? 7-story heart/cancer center (the red block on page 19 of the master plan).
