I doubt that a farrang can have a license for a gun in Thailand if it isnt a special farrang working for/ore together whit the thai gowerment - exampel DEA ore something.......................But - your wife can have a license so you can have a gun in your home. Thats the best way i think!
These days life seems pretty good and I eagerly look forward to the continuation!

Thrilled, sorry didn't mean to imply that you were a crazy drunk, the comment was in general because I have seen over the years how drinking effect Thais and Farangs in the land of smiles and most any part of the world. Don't even want to think about drinking and driving. I have had a few very very close CALL with drunk drivers here in Udonthani.

I've heard this before, and question if it's the right thing to do. If you are in your residence and someone breaks into your house and threatens you or your families life with a weapon, I beleive it's within your right (even as a foreigner) to respond with deadly force (a gun legally owned by your wife).

I understand the their may be bias's against you as a foreigner killing a Thai national, but if you were to lie about who pulled the trigger, and it was discovered later, you may find yourself in more trouble than if you had told the truth.

Am I wrong? :-k
