Help to find a golf range

I need to find a golf driving range in town, I know they have them at some of the corses but I dont want to travel to them just to have a crack, can any body help with this,

There is a driving range near Big C (Map Ref V19) take the turning next to the Dutch Milk shop.

Only driving range I know of is the new one near the airport.

Sorry to change the subject. But what is the Dutch milk shop. Can you by anything but milk there? Like Cheese or cream? And where exactly is it located?

If your interested in playing golf though I can tell you that the map reference is C19.

Instead of going into the airport take the next road on the right and it's about 1k down the road.

Can see the tall nets at that driving range from PK5 and was wondering what they were. Thought they might be used to catch birds. Don't laugh, a Thai neighbor, when we lived at BB Resort, put up similar nets and successfully caught some birds which he planned to sell for pets at local markets. Then one day he caught a mama bird and incurred the wrath of another neighbor lady whose husband happens to be Thai Army brass. Seems the mama bird had a nestful of eggs in the lady's garden. The birdnapper cheepishly released mama bird, post haste. Never saw him put the nets up again.

From golf to cheese to birds now.....back to topic, noticed a driving range between Udon and Nong Khai on right side going to Nong Khai. Didn't notice how far but think it's closer to Udon. Maybe one of the Nong Khai-ites would know.

yes its closed all right, went looking for the one one the Nong khai udon highway no luck
will try the C19 locations, hopefully it will be easier to find than tnhe last one

For New2Udon and Charlieb, about 200 meters to the West (toward Nong Bua Lamphue) from the entrance to the Udon Airport on Soi Phompakhal (see Udon Map) there is a road South (not shown on the map). Follow this road through a small housing project with a turn to the right and to the left. Immediately after the left turn you will see the tall net's enclosing the driving range. Total of less than 1 Km from Soi Phompakhal.

For Charlieb, if you can make your way to the Thai Air Force Golf Course (Lion Golf Course) on Monday, 11 Feb, you can join the Udon Golf Society for their regular Monday game and I'm sure you will find several golfers to join up with for games later in the week(s) you are here.

Charlieb, forgot to mention, be there at 8:30 am to get into the Stableford competition.

There are several ranges and courses in Udon and surrounding area.

The best range is Maekeng driving range next to the airport:when leaving the airport gates turn left and then take the next left and follow the road through the housing estate,approx 1km.

There is also a range and course at the airforce base:reachable from both the airport or the road leaving Udon centre towards Khon Kaen on your right hand side.

Nong Samrong army base has both course and range:On the same road as TJ`s bar opposite side and opposite end.North side of town near ring road and road to Nong Khai.

The road leaving Udon towards Nong Bua Lamphu on the left hand side at 18 km has a golf course but without range.

Sri Thani Forest golf course has a range also:located on the south side of Udon (near Wat Ban Tat), take the road south to Khon Kaen,just after the Jet garage, take the 2nd U-turn and then turn left under the bridge then follow the road for approx 5km.

The road leaving Udon towards Nong Khai on the right hand side nearer NK than Udon is the turn off for Victory Park golf club.This is an 18 hole championship course with a range which is open "sometimes".

Further down the road to NK there are 2 driving ranges, the first one is right next to the road called Mitraphab driving range, the next a little nearer NK closeby the Honda garage.

Nong Khai also has a course on the right hand side leaving Nong Khai towards Phon Phesai approx 5 km outside NK.

There is also an 18 hole course north of Khon Kaen near Ubol Rattana Dam with range.

I hope this can help anyone whos looking to find golf in the area.
