Home Mart

The folks at Home Mart (located opposite Global Home on the eastern ring road) have asked me to spread the word that they will be having some special goings on throughout the store Sept 30 to Oct 15.

You can expect special sales throughout the store during this time frame. However, they tell me that the weekends will be even more spectacular with product demonstrations, and displays (to include some live models)from a number of new suppliers/manufacturers. Representatives from these suppliers/manufacturers will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about their products. You can also expect prize giveaways, and entertainment.

October 8th has been designated as a special day devoted to the foreign community here in Udon Thani. Home Mart officials would like to host some 30 - 40 foreigners from 10:30AM to 2:00PM and are offering free coffee and cake, bar-b-que chicken, soft drinks etc to entice them to view product displays and attend seminars from a number of roofing companies, hand tool manufacturers, kitchen cabinet companies, glass block manufacturers etc etc. You can expect special sale prices on these new products as well. Representatives from these companies will be on hand to answer your questions and or take your orders. Once again they emphasize that sale prices will be found throughout the store.

They also are planning some entertainment to go along with the food and demos on October 8th. You can expect snake fighting, a motorcycle (large displacement) show, games and prizes.

In order to make sure they have enough food and drink on hand they would like to know about how many people would be interested in attending the October 8th event. For those of you wondering how I managed to get in the middle of this I can only offer the following: Home Mart helped sponsor the annual VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) July 4th picnic. They have asked me to assist them with this event because of my contacts with them on behalf of the VFW and my own on going house building project. I am doing this as a favor to these folks.

Lucky me , went there to buy som plywood, not finding any small sheets I was prepared to buy a full sheet, when I spotted a broken full sheet almost in half size, good price for this one, took to assistance to buy , no can have, shook his head, jumped up and down and went to desk where person looked important, much changing of words between assistance and manager, this time manager say sorry sir can not sell, broken sheet, you can have for FREE. offered 50 baht 25% of price but they refused,

still worth the while as pretty girl walked me around to buy all the other goods I needed , and then she took goods out to my bike trailer, Now this is where she laughed, looking at my scooter and trailer with red mudguards, she had the most beautifull eyes, as she had contacts in, best service I ever had
