Honda Garage Info

Postby rick » February 4, 2012, 1:19 pm

I have just bought a Nissan March from the dealers on the Khon kaen road (inside ring road, opposite army hospital). Sales people not to pushy, first option fell through (someone paid deposit before we did). But was promised first refusal on next spare car (otherwise maybe 1-2 months to order). Two weeks later, got the call, saw the car, made the deal and picked up 1 hour later! Asked for english manual for car and it was produced within 30 minutes. Was offered a discount without asking (well, free window tint) but got 5,000 in cash instead as had backlog at tinting company (and yes, the sales person gets a kickback). But if ordering i am sure can do some deal.

Also Nissan prices are very cheap - March from 380,000, and Almera from 429,000. Both far cheaper than anything from Toyota. So i am reasonably happy with their service . Also have had calls about servicing and if any problems, so get some after service too.

Honda Garage Info

Well, Tried to contact Honda as everyone else has said not easy and most dealers never replied to my e-mails Oh well they must be doing a roaring trade to pass up a sale. I have decided to go for tha Mazda 3 Sport 2.0 Maxx and Have ordered one for when I return in a few weeks time. Again wasnt easy to speak to them but got the message accross, I fully expect to return to find no car waiting but thats part of living here! you just get used to it.

Thanks to all and at least it gives a good insite for other people wanting to purchase a car.

Finally I have a Thai friend at work here in Africa he is in a very Senior Management position here and he also had good advise, put the car in a thai name for many reasons including available discounts, finance accidents etc but have a contract drawn up that shows at the end of the finance the car belongs to you. He has actually made many of these contracts for other westerners that work here and live all over thailand.

Have learned better to be safe than sorry, love is truly blind, till it bits you in the ass
