How do I add a signature in User Control Panel

I have noticed that some forumites have a signature attached to each post in the form of a short pun or saying...a one liner. I have looked throughout the User Control Panel and I do not see where I can plug in my own signature. I see a page where I have checked "add signature by default" on all posts, but don't see how to add it. Help would be appreciated.

BobHelm...thanks for the quick reply, but my User Control Panel does not give me that option. The Edit Signature link is not there. What next?

Make sure you've clicked the profile tab at the top and the edit signature link should be on your left
