Also perhaps a good (cultural/personal) counselor, for both cultural and relationship counseling, which often go together.
And...if you had the money, some kind of "assisted care" facility would probably be a winner as well.
Thanks again for the advice.
Sorry for the TF in advance:
I had often thought of a retirement home for old mongers, but I was advised that it's easy to find a willing Thai lady to take care of you anyway. On that, a friend of my girlfriend's mum was talking to me, she is probably 60, and I'd never give her one, but she seems a nice lady. She was asking me if I knew anyone in their 70s or older who needed looking after. She reckons she gets lonely and would like to look after someone. I jokingly mentioned a wheelchair, and she seemed delighted at the prospect, so if anyone knows some old codger out there or even back home, who just wants to be looked after (and I am sure she will do whatever is necessary-she seems to be a woman of the world!), let me know!
As for relationship counselling in Thailand, I thought it was simply 'som nam na'
I'm not sure about getting referrals etc, like if Thais want to give farang business, and also I suppose the registration requirements, but I will find out. Who knows, in 5 years you may be coming to see me!
