Early in the video the foreign husband is shown lying on his side in couch potato position, watching TV with sagging clothes rack hanging behind, not very flattering. This was edited in to make a point, not sure what. Was he happy with the result of the video?

A year or so ago I was in town riding my bike through a small housing area near the Vocational Training Center (next to Makkaeng School). The was an older guy out on his front porch with his two kids in his speedo-like underwear........I'll guess he was European. He looked very much at home.

The guy in the video probably didn't get a vote on the results....just like McCrystal didn't get a vote on the contents of the Rolling Stones article.

And I was in the Army when..... I've been married to my Thai wife for 35 years... No problems, never paid a sin sot, never was expected to take care of any extended family.. While her mother was alive we sent a stipend to her each month.. No biggie. Looking around up in Udon I've seen, as Parrot states, a wide variety of Farang/Thai couples, good, bad, indifferent... The video clip gave a very small snapshot and didn't try to spin it negatively in my view.

I just thought I would chuck my tenpenneth in on the subject but before I do ,, congrats to you lucky 30+ years married to Thai ladies lads ,,,,,you lucky boys!
Anyway just asked the wife of 2 years why she married a non thai ,, she gave me a very honest answer ,, to gain a change of life ,, better life , happier life , to be loved and wanted in a different way .
I then asked her to answer me honestly as to whether she has achieved these goals , to which she replied everything very happy and love me so much ,,,,,,,, I cannot ask for more as we have both had the most happy amazing 2 years of our lives ,, having both been married before .
I was especially pleased with her reply as I thought she had a good life in Thai before when I visited her , with her schoolteaching job and her family , she is also educated with a uni degree and has some land and property,, so another thorn in the side of the disbelievers who would love to stereotype us into doom and failure.
