Are there any portfolio/money managers in Udon Thani? I'm not a big time investor, but am looking for someone to manage my money (i.e mutual funds, bonds...etc). Not interested in any international companies with high minimum investment amounts. Any suggestions in Udon Thani or BKK? HELP!

stick with the large investment companys of your home country, there are lots of people here that will "help you with your money".

in the US:
Vanguard
T-Rowe Price
and many others

I use Kim Eng you can set it up on the internet closest office is in Korat, I'm no adviser but the way things are now sit up account an wait a bit there is no hurry. Once your account is sit up you can establish watch lists. Until the Euro Zone thing is settled, it ain't going to be be smooth selling. With Kine Eng your money get the same interest it would get in a savings account.

I say wait as we are in the beginnings of a bear market. So there will be some great buys down line. Look for solid companies with good dividends. Read the Gold thread on here. I;/m telling you anything I'm not doing myself. I sold out today and will try to buy back later.

If have never invested before, read everything you can get your hands on.

Once you have an account sit up it mere seconds to buy if you pay market the market rate, bidding takes longer but is better if your not in a hurry.

Takes three days to get money out of the account which will be placed into the account you name as will dividends.

Cost ,015% if you buy over the net. you will pay 7% VAT on the commission may go to 10% later on. Same thing on a sale. There are minimums on this rate I can't recall what they are.

So far no capitol gains

Good Luck remember no one will take care of your money better then you.

If I had stuck to the advice a Financial Advisor gave me before I moved out to Thailand I'd be back in the UK working again.

Be careful, be VERY careful.
