The website is very accurate, as I have stayed there quite a few times and the beds are the most comfortable in town and rooms well appointed. Always a pleasant stay.

Thanks,
I'm looking at a stay of about 12 nights from 3rd May. Lot's of hotels to choose from and very cheap. This site is great and it's helping me a lot with the map and people's opinion's.

In the words of Walter Brennan: All fact, no brag. =D> =D> =D>

I too have stayed at the Clock on the odd ocassion that I was too pissed to ride my bike home - and the beds are, without a doubt, the most comfortable ones in Udon Thani. In fact, they are even more comfortable than the ones in the 5 star hotels I have stayed in down in BKK.

:D Glad to hear about the beds doc, thanks! If I am in Udon and decide to stay the night ,I will check out the Irish Clock.I like the host and hostess, great service!
I don't want to make this another smoking issue post, but I hope the rooms don't smell of smoke.Does the smoke from the bar filter into the rooms? If no smoke, great beds and a strong hot shower, they will have my business!

As mentioned on the other thread, there are enviromental air purifiers in place EXCEPT for the area designated as no- smoking, where there is just a regular air con.
Seems like they are trying - give them a break huh ?

smell?

More of an aroma i would say... regarding cigars .

So maybe there is something wrong with my olfractory membranes in my nasal passage as i did't notice any smoke wafting around the ground floor or working its way up the stairs to the Bed chambers whilst i was in there enjoying the delights of the fine menu.
