Is this the end of the UK?

How serious is Scotland's desire for independence? Given the great financial difficulties of England why should the Scots pay more taxes and stick to the ever weakening GBP? This could be a good time to jump off the boat and swim to more welcoming shores.

All for it, same with the Welsh. Let them have their 'devolution', I would hazard a guess that English taxes subsidise Scotland more than the other way around. There are probably more Scots working in England than there are English working in Scotland and the Scots, in general, hate the English. A bit of reciprocation may make them change the tune a little.

Rather confusing poster. Based in the States, displaying a European flag and supporting Scotland, obviously not aware of the Scottish geography .Pray tell what welcoming shores are in swimming distance from any where in Scotland .?'
I suppose if you really support separation you could finance the rebuilding of Hadrian's wall, far better than buying guns for the IRA . :-"

Is this the end of the UK?

I firmly believe that the Parliament in Westminster has had its' time. For at least the last 40 years it has based all its' decisions on what is good for London alone.
Time to disband it completely as it is no longer necessary, just an unwanted expense.

Wales, Scotland &, to a lesser extent Northern Ireland, already have assemblies to deal with their regional issues. It is time that England also had one, based in or around Birmingham - central England.
The sooner the better & then the daily issues facing English people living in England might finally be faced & resolved...

Have to agree with Bob - the government only thinks of London. But i am sure that Wales and Northern Ireland are subsidised by the English, And once the oil runs out (about 20 years) Scotland will be the same. Could save us some money.

I also agree with Bob if Wales & Scotland have regional representation so should England.

Dont be to quick to jump on England subsidising Wales Scotland etc...
Welsh Scottish and Irish taxes all end up in Westminsters coffers
