Thank you Tilo and merry Christmas. Interesting how this lady has fused Morlam with a more poppy kind of sound. Rather like the US Country and Western stars did in the 1990s; Shania Twain for example.

I shall play this to Mrs. Westerby when she gets in from her hairdressing, she'll love it.

Yes, now Shania Twain, this is a different kettle of fish. 55555

With the lady from Timmins, Ontario I find I can view the video and listen to the music to the end of the song whereas with Jintara it takes a great deal of concentration, and nice-looking dancers, to make it through the whole video.

Merry Christmas and all the best to you and your wife for the new year.

Tilo, this is the latest from Poifai. All the Morlam fans are playing this in Udon at the moment.

Dance wildly in front of the Morlam stage and punch the guy who barges into you.

You see there is a kind of humour and beauty and healthy interest in this type of music for the non-tone deaf.

This is a perfect lead-in to my Thai lesson this afternoon.

My very close and dear friend does not like this type of music at all. She prefers heavy metal, and her son already heads a group that has won first prize in all-Thailand contests put on by Yamaha in Udon, Khon Kaen, Nong Khai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok.

Yes Tilo, I find the music mildly irritating but I can't stop my foot from tapping to the rhythm or my fingers from drumming to the beat. Read from that what you will, old chum.

Here is a singer, Pee Saderd, that is an example par excellence of one who combines modern music with traditional Isaan music although in this song there is not much that hints of Isaan.

I think your wife will enjoy this comedy hit.
