Kamagra Sales Legal or not?

I see Kamagra openly sold throughout Thailand, in pharmacies and elsewhere.
I've personally seen street sales in the Nong Khai and Mae Sai markets and I'm sure it's happening elsewhere.

My reason for asking?
I traveled earlier this year to India and Nepal and I've come across a direct source of the Ajanta Pharma Ltd. 100 mg. Kamagra here in Thailand that can be sold for considerably less than I've run across.

If licensed pharmacies, and un-licensed others, are allowed to sell this product, can I assume it's legal, contrary to what I've read someplace?

If it is indeed legal, can I discreetly offer this to my fellow ex-pats and save them some Baht as well?

On a "bad idea" scale of 1 to 10, that would score an 11. Kamagra is a prescription drug in Thailand. Any non-licensed person caught selling (or importing with intent to sell) a prescription drug in Thailand will be looking at serious prison time. And, as a farang, a quick boot out of the country after you have served your time. It doesn't seem like earning a few thousand baht justifies the risk.

I would not be importing it as the product is already here and being sold at huge markups....
but I get your message about the legallity of sales here.

I bought A few in pattaya at A pharmacy A couple of years ago.I have to say that they worked really good.

Thrilled, if the police had caught you with them, they would have come down HARD ON you, with a STIFF sentance

Now there is an idea for a business in Thailand,no WP needed!Supply falangs with illegal drugs,then inform the police and take a cut of the extortion money!It took 13 years to think of that viable enterprise!

Good idea Stan, but it won't work as ED drugs are NOT illegal...
Selling them without prescription is illegal, Kamagra c.s. are perfectly legal.

I wonder why Texpat didn't bring his favourite "hypocrisy" remarks (to which I often agree). Many many farang use ED drugs as ED is a major problem amongst 50+ human males. In spite of that fact only one poster admits to use them and the rest is expressing their "cannot/illegal/bad idea/jail/extradition/don't do it" and probably some of them send a private pm to order Kamagra.... Hypocrisy indeed Tex

Joe, just to clarify my earlier post. I am not critical of people using ED drugs. I have a valid prescription for one and use it. My "bad idea" was referring to an unlicensed person selling a prescription drug in Thailand, which is a incredibly bad idea. I don't think there's anything hypocritical in that view.

Joe are you sure possession of a prescription drug w/o the prescription is legal? I am assuming the Kamagra is a prescription drug!

Stan, other than illegal drugs like Yaba, Marijuana the possession of prescription drugs is not illegal. It is a normal drug and nobody would bother where you get it from. The sales of prescription drugs is regulated and therefor sales by unauthorized persons is illegal, as is sales without prescription by authorized people.
