The death of Dr. Kelly has been a 'conspiracy theory' favourite in the UK.
Dr. Kelly was a weapons expert who specialised in knowledge of Iraq before the second invasion. In 2003 he leaked information to the BBC about the inaccuracy of some of the British claims made about weapons of mass destruction - saying that they were totally untrue.
After a huge media ruckus he was identified as the 'mole' & was later found dead in his car in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Instead of the normal coroner's inquest, then Prime Minister Tony Blair asked Lord Hutton to conduct an investigation, which found Dr Kelly had died from blood loss after slashing his wrist with a knife. Lord Huttons' inquiry found that Dr. Kelly killed himself but ordered that certain medical details should be sealed for 70 years to 'protect the family'.
Dr. Kelly's family have always said that they believed that the Lord Hutton account of his death were accurate & made after a full investigation that satisfied them completely.
Others have not agreed & so the conspiracy theorists had a field day. So finally the medical details have also been released. I feel for the family. It is not bad enough that a loved one committed suicide 7 years ago & all the details are now been dragged through the media again, but it was also done when they (the main people who mattered) were already satisfied.
Unfortunately even the latest revelations are not enough for some people who still see it all as a 'plot'. The problem is that it is virtually impossible to prove anything 100%, even more so if the recipients of the information don't wish to believe, no matter how strong the evidence is.

As it happens the inquests for the other huge UK conspiracy theory happening has also started - the inquest into the deaths on 7/7 by British Asian terrorists and their victims on London's transport system.

The results from that are not expected for months, but I doubt if it will put an end to the 'it was the security services who did it' theories either.
I am, sadly, not of the belief that Governments worldwide always operate to the highest ethical standards however I find some of the web sites that carry 'information' on so say conspiracies are often of the lowest possible standard of accuracy & proclaiming things as true that are down right lies. Sadly people believe them.

anything , but not MURDER.
