Kumphawaphi Lotus Festival

The Kumphawaphi Lotus Festival runs until 29 February.......you can see some photos of what it might look like at http://udonpao.go.th/show_info_news.php?show_id=178

If you're not up for the drive to Kumphawaphi, you can see a mini-lotus show across from the Maliwan Estates, about 75meters from the ringroad. It's sort of a trashy area, but once you get beyond that and to the lake, it makes for a nice place to take some photos.

This link shows a trip to the Nong Han lake with all the flowering Lotus. Also included is a visit to Khumpawaphi with the monkeys. The video starts with jpg pictures following mpeg (video).
