This is a strange name for a company based in in Isaan beween Nong Khai and Udonthani.
Lanna means 'a million rice fields', and is historically the name of the northern Thai kingdom based at Chiang Mai, which was founded by King Mangrai in 1296 or some late 13th century date.
Dotted throughout northern Thailand from Lampang, maybe even Tak, up to Chiang Rai and Chiang Saen, you will see many references to Lanna language, culture and art.
In its glory days under the rule of King Tilokarat, the Lanna kingdom extended into present day Burma (Kengtung State), the sip song panna region of Yunnan Province in China (the Dai people), and Laos (Luang Phrabang). I have yet to see any reference to the Lanna kingdom encompassing any parts of Isaan.

Hi Tilokorat & BM,
I know this guy pretty well, coming from the village I live in. He operated this company (Lanna) out of Chiang Mai for years before marrying a local girl a few years ago - having a son with her. He speaks fluent Thai and Lao and recieved his doctorate in a specialized area of the Northern Lao/Burmese/Thai tribal minorities. He's travelled extensively across the borders via the traditional borders and other means with local guides. He did a stint with the BOI and recieved inquiries for the USA because of his familiarity with the Northern Regions, their language and customs.
As for his work, he specialized in Travel Companies' websites out of Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai area. If you have a need for someone to track your website traffic, improve your visibility, and organize/respond to contacts, I'd check him out. I'm retired now, but wished I'd known him while I had my company. He's pretty darn smart.
