Latest forum posts.

Hi,
Hope someone can help. I'm having trouble with the latest forum posts. Don't know wither it is me, my computer or what. Some times when i log on and read a post, and then go back to the forum it all comes up in Thai. I select English and when this comes up, about a third of the way down i get a overprint which make four or five of the post headings unreadable.Some of the wording on the overprint says "search Udon Thani Map."
As i said don't know what is causing this. Can someone please help. Not serious but annoying.
This only happens on Udon map, all other forums i go to are O.K.

in the lasst week i have writen a post and click on sumit and the page to log comes up.

I would hazard a guess that you are using Internet Explorer as your search engine? This happens to me also when I use this and I cannot even log on to Udonmap with IE, for some reason it is really incompatible. Try using Firefox or Chrome or another search engine, generally they are free to download and personally I don't have half the problems with these as I do IE. They also seem to operate a bit quicker imo, particularly when streaming videos etc.

Hi Doug, are you talking about the latest posts on the website front page or active topics list on the forum? If it's the front page all you need to do is select the English language flag and each time you view that page from there on it should be in English.

I'm not sure about the overprint issue, If possible could you do a screen shot so I can see what the error looks like on your computer? Thanks.

If you're inactive for over an hour you will be logged out. To avoid this click the 'keep me logged in' box when signing in.

Thank a lot for taking the time to reply.
Lee, On the forum, when this happens, i go to the flag on the top right i click on the Union flag. This puts it into English. When i have finished viewing a post and go back to the forum, it is Thai. most if the time. As i say its is no big problem, just annoying. Like an itch that you cannot stratch.
When i am reading the forum i always log off. So i am not timed out.

Hi Lee,

I have the same problem as Douglas with over printing.
It is four lines and it start with: Udon Thani map is your online map
Last line is search udonmap.

With a click it disappear.
After reading a post and you go back to the home page the printing is there again.
Maybe this helps you to solve the problem.

Hi Doug, just so there's no confusion the forum front page is: http://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum and the main site front page is: http://www.udonmap.com

The main site front page has a list of the most recent posts on the forum, above this list there is a brief website introduction followed by a search box, share button and a list of upcoming events/holidays. At the top of this page are a couple of flags to change the language of the main site only, each time you view this page the system should remember your language selection, the default language is English.

If you have bookmarked the Thai language front page (http://www.udonmap.com/th.html) and click your bookmark each time then you will return to the Thai language page. To undo this you need to edit your bookmark and enter http://www.udonmap.com instead.

Other than the bookmark the only way I can see you returning to Thai language is if you're clicking the back button to the original page you first viewed before changing the language.

If you still have problems I suggest bookmarking the active topics list instead rather than using the main site front page: search.php?search_id=active_topics

Hi Phen, can you do a screen shot if possible, it would help me see the problem you're getting. As far as I can see there is no overprinting, the active topics list is below the website intro and search box, these do not cover any of the most recent active posts.
