Leasing Property

Postby fatbas***d » April 13, 2009, 4:34 am

Hang in there mate,
I remember well, negotiating a lease for a premises in Bangkok years ago, at the a last moment the landlord thought he would throw in an extra demand, that the tenant be responsible for his Taxes on the property.
I walked, in fact ran, despite him following me out the door pleading for my reconsideration. The place still remains empty 9 years on.
For some people greed over rides common business sense.

Leasing Property

The cost of living is so low here for many local lifestyles, they can afford to not rent, sell a vehicle or lower a price to get customers  Sometimes ,it seems to me,thatif they have enough to put food in their stomach, nothing else is important!

In some areas the longer a property stays vacant, they add extra costs to cover their expenses, then they expect the renter to upgrade the dilapidated and worn out parts to their original form!Mai pen rai

Stupid landlord :(

We lived 4 years near the beach, Thung Wua Laen, 15kms North of Chumpon.
rented a 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom 2 and 1/2 floors, 250 sqm house for 5k/momth.
Group of houses consisted of 10 houses, 3 occupied during these 4 years, other owners preferring the houses to rot.
Owners wanted to sell the house we rented for 2 million, no thanks, was just concrete walls, no garden to speak of.
