We were looking for a logo that conveyed the nature of the business and we thought that the logo with the compass fitted the bill. I liked the old one too but it didn't really put the point across what the business was all about.

Thanks for your view though, it's nice to know what others think.

Lee

Not saying I dont like the new style logo or anything and I must admit that it does represent more of what the site is about, so all good things from me :) , I was just curious...

What about the links to the webcams? I used to look a them before calling the wife so I could surprise her by saying "no rain today" or "how much rain" by the looks of the road outside pops. Now all gone.

I'm currently in the middle of updating the whole site so you may be unable to find links that were there before. Both webcam links will be in the quick menu at the top right of this forum but it is currently disabled. However the quick menu works on the front page so you can access both webcam links there.

Hopefully all will be finished soon. Anyone like the new header? I thought that it is easier to read with the most popular links in black.

wansman, how are things in VB...you are kinda close to my home, Aberdeen, Maryland......Have a great day..... :D No rain and scattered clouds.

Lee, the new logo is good and does give a better indication of what the site is all about. Keeping the old logo on the other pages is good also, I really liked the old logo was rather artistic.

Things are pretty good here in VB at the moment. You know this time of the year, warm a week then cold a week then warm again awhile. All the trees are changing and snow starting every so often in the mountains of western Va for the ski slopes.

BTW, what grid are you in on the map? I usually use the internet cafe next to Mr. Tongs as the wife has a friend that owns the salon somewhere along there and I do my banking while she gets beautiful for me. If you somewhere in the area I'l bring my business to you instead when I am in town to do my banking/bill paying etc. Would rather build a relationship with someone rather than walk into an unknown internet cafe to do my banking and have to worry about keyloggers etc. I usually bring a laptop from my work, US Navy (I'm a civillian computer systems engineer), but it's security features are configured such that I have yet to be able to use it for any internet connections. Just bring it so that the TW's sister and her friends can look at photo's/video's on it. I think that they just want to use the (mouse) touchpad.

Lee, I have always liked this site. The drop down menus did use to p :censored: me off, but that is just me, and even these have gone now, so I am well pleased :D
Keep up the good works - just remember that you can't please all the people all of the time but I am certainly a fan of what you have done so far..

Probably the vodka? The compass is actually made to look like it's pointing forward.

Mmmm, I can't make head or tail out of that post.

Thanks Bob, I'm pleased you like the new layout. By the way we still have the drop down in the top right corner for quick reference to pages.

Without going OTT and repeating what has been said before, the site has continually improved since it started.

The new menus are great, even the drop down Quick Menu works for me!! It's a good Combination of the Two, though not as good as Janis Joplin version with Big Brother & Holding Company; for those not around in the 60's it is a track from "Cheap Thrills" one of the best albums ever :D

That is neat, combines best of all worlds in a bigger picture of Udon :D

May need to be careful in future when changing picture as it may not work as well with different backgrounds.
