I found Jingjoes Apartment just to be perfect.
It's clean, very good service, inexpensive and friendly.
Many regular customers, some do stay very long time.

Have a word with the friendly owner Khun Tik:

Something closer to town would be AEK Udon Hospital Apartments. Also, Mono Place has rooms reasonably priced. Both are closer to town.

Don't know about prices for sure.

I think AEK Hospital is 5,000 per month plus utilities. Nice and quiet for the most part with parking.

Mono was in the neighborhood of 3,500 a month, plus utilities.

Check out http://www.udonmap.com/udonthani_accommodation for some other suggestions.

Hi Ralphcusens

I spent 4 weeks in the AEK Udon Hospital apartments last Dec/Jan, I thought it was good value for money (although my TGF dose not like hospitals :( ). It cost me 5000bt plus a small amount for utilities ( 150bt i think) :D and central. Have a pleasent stay wherever you stay.

Yes, Doc

Location of AEK is just perfect.

Rooms at AEK Apartments are nice and fairly clean. But they do not provide a fixed phone or internet access to the room. Internet is provides at the hospital - and usually very busy occupied.

AEK doesn't usually have many rooms for 5000 TBT per month left.

And please be aware about utility costs and laundry; both are adding nicety to the monthly bill.

I don’t know about Mono Place. Due to the location close to High Tec Mono could get noisy during late evenings.

For me (and some others) Jingjoes Apartment works out nice over all. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished, well serviced, and clean. Good but inexpensive restaurant and bar (not noisy) on side as well as a very efficient laundry. Quit but still in central location. Good and steady ADSL internet access from both bar or rooms.

Utility costs where very fair. For two, air-con running many times, fridge and plenty of electronically devices (incl. laptops, printers, TV etc), and quite some water consumption (showers before, after and between…) it worked about around just around 300 TBT a month. I knew form other places that utility costs running up to halve a monthly rent.

I’ve learned that Khun Tik accommodates many regular customers, some are staying for several months. This is a good sign for any place offering accommodation.

And Khun Tik is a lovely host. She is very friendly and attentive. There is no language barrier.
