Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a mechanic who can give a 100,000km service to my Toyota Vigo? I want a proper service to check for worn items that need replacing, but don't want to replace loads of parts that are actually still OK

You should, of course, service your car at a Toyota carshop. It is also free and you only need to pay for parts and oil and any other liquids that may be needed.
These days life seems pretty good and I eagerly look forward to the continuation!

We took our Vios to the Toyota dealer to have the water pump replaced. They didn't have a replacement part nor did BKK, it would have to be ordered from Japan & shipped (1-2 weeks). Total cost we were told would be 4300bt at minimum.

Took our car to CJ auto service (same owner of the auto parts store on attached map). Not only did they have the water pump, but part & labor only 2800bt (WP 2300/labor 500bt). Even with an oil change (500bt) it came out less than Toyota's quote to replace the water pump.

CJ's is located behind the auto parts store via a side street. You may want to call first to ask about a 100K service.

Good information
It's not always the official dealers that offer the best price and service. I'll give them a try
Thanks :D

Thanks all. I've not had good experiences with the official Toyota and Honda dealerships, here or in Phuket. Maybe I am cynical, but it seems to me that they ramp up and required work, particularly while under guarantee. Of course, then they are ripping off the manufacturer rather than me.

But for a normal routine service, I'd prefer a private garage, provided I have some kind of recommendation.
