Meeting up (+ do you need Marmite?)

Postby Footy1966 » March 4, 2009, 2:49 pm

I am a regular viewer of the Udonmap forum and have never posted anything until now. I will be in Udon again sometime in April with the Missus #-o and our 2 boys and would like to know where and when all the local expats meet up for a beer or two :guiness:
The wife is originally from a small village between Udon and Sakhon Nakon, its too quiet for me so i'll be spending most of the time in Udon.
The suitcase is going to be fairly light so if anyone wants anything brought over (Marmite etc) let me know as i don't mind exchanging them for a beer or two and a chat.

officially, there's an unofficial udonmap meeting every month, now, the 2nd saturday of the month, at Preecha market, night market on the way to the train station. if not here at that time, no problem, i takes little motivation to lure us elbow benders to a social. just announce when here and something will surely be sorted out. 8)

if you could put a pound or two, or a kilo of 100 USD in your suitcase for me, i'd most appreciative. :D

Footy, welcome to Udon Forum, I'm happy to hook up with a beer or two with you although I'm not much into Footy, more a Rugger man myself, but Hey, I'm like the rest of the crowd here, open to all persuasions.
Keep us in touch with your plans, you've booked a ticket right ? let me know when you land in Udon, if you bring a bit of marmite I will even pick you up and run you and family out to wifeys ranch.

Cheers for the reply Laphanphon and Fatbas###d. Can certainly bring the marmite but might struggle with the 100 USD bills. I'll give you a shout when i arrive in Udon, probably Monday 6th April. :D

marmite for you non-UK nationals appears to be some exotic sandwhich spread
that comes in a jar.(today's useless trivia) "Love it or hate it" the winning slogan.

That may be so, but sadly my daughters have acquired the taste and hence rather depleted my personal supplies.
