Men Are Shallow... Just Like Hal...

It's truth that men do want beautiful women. Time to time you will not be surprise hearing a man in the club says " DAMN!" when they see a drop dead bimbo walking into the club. Rarely they will actually looking for the dorky one and pay attention but rushing into the bar and buy the drink to the one that seem to be easy and totally hot. So it doesn't matter if you are a nice, smart, funny women with a great morals. After all men just want their women to look good. So there's no point acting like cameron Diaz with all the adventure side or dorky-ness or laugh and drink like a man when all you need to do is only look like Cameron Diaz.

Sometimes I wonder why women can't just wear jeans and tank top and go to the club and expect a nice decent man to come over and impress us. Because it's not going to work. That's why sometimes we have to wear that almost a Dress from platinam plaza and Jimmy choo that look sexy but biting like hell. So we can get their attention and move on to the second step by show them our personality. Or else we wouldn't have that chance and there's no surprise if men will give up on us straight away when they know that we aren't easy and burn like fire just like how we dress.

So The truth is the better you look the longer they will try until they got what they want. An the none-hot or none- goodlooking will be on a short leash. It's like men always brag around about the hot women they slept with or how he nailed her but i never really heard men says " My girl always look like an old dog.... but she's really smart and i love that about her!"

If we ask any man a question. If you can have anything you love about your current woman in the body of Rihanna or Megan Fox, would you take it ?? Trust me the answer will be Yes!. No matter what he says to your face.

I'm not saying that every man end up with beautiful woman. Also, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but ugly is pretty clear, So Ladies! don't be fooled. All the manicures ,pedicures, Bo-Tox, face Lifted, wigs and weaves,tummy tucks, breast implants, victoria's secret wonder bras do matter. Because if you look good. Men will pay attention. Guess the Truth is kinda lame and ugly after all.

My dear Sarah...how times have changed. This all sounds totally backwards from when I was clubbing in the '70's and '80's. I bought my suits and shoes in Paris, wore a gold Rolex watch, drove a Mercedes and was probably considered an enviable catch at the time, but me and all the guys I hung with were scared to death to approach the good looking fashionable ladies in the clubs for fear of rejection. We usually just hung around the dance floor with a glass of liquid courage in one hand and the other hand in our pants playing pocket pool and trying to look cool. When the high octane kicked in we would scout the place for a semi-ugly girl and usually find a dance partner for a couple of songs. My strategy was to hang around til closing time and try to lasso the leftovers. My favorite song back then was There Are No Ugly Girls At Closing Time .

So my advice to you is don't worry about losing out on those characters that go for the sexy wanna-be fashion models. They're only after one thing anyway, but the good guys are looking for what's in your heart! Be patient...the right guy is worth waiting for in a world of scams and STD's.

Dear Semperfiguy.

Back in the 70's? What amazed me the most is the fashion you mention back then. I wish i could see how the guy spent hour and hour shine their shoes and make sure they hair will shinny and nicely comb before they go out. Those swing dance and how polite they spoke. It would be so nice to spent hour talking to a real nice guy and get him walk you home or even put you on the back of his bike and have a first kiss before goodnight instead of he left you straight away in the middle of the night out knowing that they won't be able to have a piece of you.

Now in Thailand,2011 i'm sure you won't see any nice shoes from Paris but MBK and a sort of real Rolex from Night market. Now or then i'm sure they are gentleman but when the world changed and life seem to be easier... that when human stop to care or appreciate in things. I remember watched the show about teenager girls starve themselves for Spring-break and the guys spent hour and hours in the gym it's kinda make me sad and even felt worst when it's turn out that after spring break.. so many lives were lost, Girls get pregnant or even rape, and of course the guy came home with the word " Herpes".

Sometimes you want to be yourself as much as possible but you also forgot that maybe being unique is not enough, because standing out from the crowd can make you a black sheep. Rarely someone will noticed that you are a real Rolex. not a fake one from the night market.

Maybe i was wrong... maybe the guys and the girls came to SE Asia and have a lot of sex and turn themselves to someone they are not and act shallow because they are on vacation and they suppose to have fun as much as they can ? What is the limit of fun when you are on vacation and when is Enough is Enough ? Why still a lot of western boys walking around topless ( actually i don't mind

) and Farang ladies walking around in tank top with no bras when they totally knew that Thailand isn't that laid back like in the movies and we do have our own cultures which a bit different( uptight hahaha)than western.... They just ignored it because they are NOT from here? Did they know that whatever they did is not suit our cultures? Or they actually... didn't knew.

P.s. yes i'm 100% Thai just got here less than a week ago , originally from Chiang Mai .. so yeah.. i'm kinda happy that this site somehow let you speak your mind.

Well Sarah darling,tell us about all the unattractive guys you try to meet before getting to the personality stage!
I think everyone likes attractiveness,the more the better.The problem is feelings of adequacy to match up.And if you are an older falang in Thailand,the younger a prettier they are usually breeds diaster!
I think ugly doesn't connect well anywhere!What do you think?

This is Thailand. Guys come here because impressing is not required as it is back in their home countries. One can be "unattractive", unable, or simply unwilling to impress and/or compete back home and be lonely OR one can go to Thailand and get a ridiculously hot and sexy woman (by Western standards) by just showing up and expressing interest. THAT is the allure of Thailand. The whole "I need to be more beautiful than other women" thing is in the heads of the women here. We don't care much about that as pretty much all women are hot looking by default.

If I may be quite blunt about it (apologies in advance) and repeat something I discussed with a close family friend (a woman such as yourself): If you dress, look, or act like a slut, expect to be treated like a slut (fckd and discarded). If you dress, look, and act like a lady, you will be treated as a lady (respected and admired). Most guys seek a woman who is a lady in public and a slut in the bedroom. Guys, am I wrong?

Call me strange, but I believe that one of the sexiest things a beautiful woman can wear is a pair of tight faded blue jeans and a white tank top. Makes me drool just thinking about it! :-"

Why would you look for nice and decent men in a bar or club? Certain men go to bars and clubs, and they won't go there to look for nice and decent women, they go there to look for other kind of women. So, why would a nice and decent woman go to a bar to look for nice and decent men?
Nice and decent men don't go to bars, so if you want to meet them you have to find an other way and go to different places.

Nice and decent men don't go to bars, so if you want to meet them you have to find an other way and go to different places.

Well that's a massive generalisation Frankie. For a start there are decent bars and the others . So it would depend on which type you frequent. Secondly I consider myself to be a "decent" man but I go out to a bar occasionally, maybe you could count the times on one hand in a year, but nether less I go .Maybe you should have said that decent men do go to bars but generally have indecent thoughts on their mind at the time . :lol:

Now unaccompanied women, that's a different story where I tend to agree with you .
For any ladies reading this . I know I am an unashamed chauvinist pig . Born and bred in an age when ladies behaved like ladies and men treated them as such .We even had pubs where they were only allowed in the saloon bar and men weren't permitted to spit on the carpet . :lol:

Ok, fair enough. But if you wanted to meet decent women, would you go out looking for them in bars? I wouldn't.
