Mexican Food

Postby banpaeng » June 8, 2007, 8:00 am

Today I had some very good Tacos, Tamales, Beans and rice and a side of enchiladas that were great. Cooked up by a true Mexican Chef.

Before anyone jumps, this post is for Ray23 and a poke at him :D :D .

By the way Food was in Houston Texas.

See you again Ray.

Yes...have eaten there several times. The original is in Hong Kong and it is excellent. This one is stiill having problems, even after being open over a year..The food quality is not consistent...One time, it is very good and the next time it tastes bland..

I understand that they have now brought one of the chefs from HK down and it should get better...

Don't think I can get the lady to move to Thailand, however when you guys come for a visit here we will go and have a plate.

On the above by Mr. Stoneman, (my 2 cents worth) Consistency is a very hard thing to accomplish unless you are cooking by precise recipes. As I think more of the famous chefs cook on the run and do not do precise measurements, that makes the food a bit more enjoyable as it is never precisely the same. In saying that they also need to be good at this way of cooking or you will definatly get as you say one day good and one day not so hot. Some days it seems I can not boil water without messing it up  A chef I am not.
