Anyone know why Aramco barriers and car tire bumpers going up in the streets around Government Offices?

Pretty sure it will not be F1, but must be for some petrol head sport!!

I have to admit the roads in that area would make a great street circuit.

I haven't seen anything in Thai news about racing around the city offices.....but looks like Joejo Race Track and Fun Park is up and running

There are a few signs posted around town, apparently sponsored by Toyota. Used to be, is or was an annual event.

Toyota Motorsport, Udon, October 17-18, around the government office area. Hard to believe.....but workers were busy today installed railing along the sidewalks in that area.
I don't know why, but as I was driving through the area, I had visions of lions in the coliseum (and I thought colloseum was some British spelling of the word!!)

Looks like it is sit up for race to me. But, in the past they started by Nam Prajak Park. I always thought was a good idea went right by the hospital

I'm nearly as keen for a leer at some eye candy as Zids.

A few years ago I saved some photos of my step-grandson with some eye candy at one of these petrol head events. Important family photos.

I meant to post this last night but fell asleep at the keybored (sic).......so here it is today:

According to a very quicky informal translation of the info in the link below, Toyota sponsors dropped the ball (again, according to the article) on coordinating with city officials (police, hospital, etc).....and as a result of a social media uproar about the impact of racing in the city....city officials have called off the race.

If anyone happens to see otherwise (cars racing around the government offices), please post.

As there was no racing allowed, they tried to entertain the visitors in similar ways - feellngswise.
