Good point, you are correct in what you are saying. A 45 tee into the straight piece would be the way to go for a clear flow. Unfortunately I am not there and stuck here in Teda near beautiful down town Tianjin in China, so can't sit and discuss things onsite and at length. I'll ask her tonight on my nightly camera talk and see if its not to late. The cost of 4 or 8 fittings would be insignificant in the whole scheme of things to rectify at this stage.
But , I may be to late? My cash money transfer finally made it and she is a go getter and was anxious to get the concrete down.
She started to get some erosion and washout when that hit of heavy rain came recently because the guttering down pipes are not installed and she is trying to get the 2 mtr apron of concrete around the whole house to avoid any more erosion.
She has, as of yesterday, hired the wacker packer, steel and sand etc as per the photos below. For all I know she may have placed the concrete today.
