N.Dee Hotel

I tried asking this under the City Lodge subject but got nothing so I thought I would try under the new name.

Anybody have any dealings with this place?

Sorry no I have not been to it Charlie - although I did comment on another thread about 6 weeks ago that the City Lodge seemed to have re-branded itself as such.
I (personally) think they have a lot of hard work in front of them to make a success of it & I wish them well.
Too many places offering offering fair quality and value food & accommodation in town for the available customers, coupled with the poor value for money that City Lodge had been trying to get away with for far too long, means it will be tough times ahead for them I think.

Thanks Bob. I have heard it is now being run by two British men and has been refurbished.

I would not think of staying at the City Lodge the way it was but, if significatly changed, I might reconsider. However, I would not like to plan on a stay and find things the same as they were. :?

I really do not know Charlie. I always thought that the bar area looked one of the most attractive in Udon, but it never seemed to be very busy even when their food was reputed to be some of the best in Udon. Once its' reputation slipped (& that was well over a couple of years ago) then it seemed to never have any customers.
As far as food goes I would need to see some very good reviews, or hear that they had an unusual menu that I liked the sound of before I would try. There are enough quality value for money places around town to eat without trying them. As far as accommodation goes...then Clock is still number 1 around there if they have room, otherwise Top Mansion or Ruy Suk offer just about unbeatable value for money.
