need word to describe something

Postby parrot » November 5, 2011, 3:58 pm

For the purposes of this forum, let's assume this photo is of water lapping over the edge of a dam, someplace in Thailand. I want to describe the nature of the water, rippling over the dam, as shown in the photo. Can anyone offer a description (word or words) that would paint a fairly accurate picture in words?

Bonus points for double use of alliteration. I like it.

I might also suggest sheeting, which is what I think a geologist would call it.

I think my bloomin' eyesight has definately had it !!

If you had said that it's a "close-up" of part of a model railway or something I would have said it didn't look bad, but it certainly doesn't look anything like a REAL "wall of water" or a REAL "cascade" to me.
