Neighbourhood Watch

I am not good with words but I feel I need to say something.

I want to live in LOS eventually, possibly Udon. There are many reasons for this. Lifestyle, the weather, the wonderful people,attitude to life and love, the beer. I could go on.

My point is that whether I live there or am just visiting, if I knew of anyone who I suspected of "having a liking for small children", I would hope that something could be done to bring the authorities attention to that person.

Is there any protection for children from these animals!!! A neighbourhood watch, anything.

Is this a problem in Udon??? I hope not. What if anything could be done. What would you do if you had suspicions???

Why would you think that's an issue here, or at least anymore than anywhere else? It sounds to me like you aren't putting all your cards on the table.

In my part of Thailand(Nong Khai) such people have historically been dealt with by the local Laotian mafia and never the police.

Forgive me arjay. I was just concerned by a comment from a previous post insinuating and including a slur on Aussies in LOS. In future I will keep my comments to trivial matters only.

It's the same here in Udon.The only local paedophile i know of was dealt with by the locals.He was Thai.What they would do with a foreign one,i do not know.

I do know that there are two of them in the Monkey house right now - looking at between 10 and 20 years... Two Brits. Neither of them teachers.
