New Resturant "The Old England"

Postby PopsIcafe » June 3, 2007, 12:44 pm

Was on my way to Lotus, and found a new resturant opened up today, "The Old England". It is owned and run by a Thai couple who also own a resturant in Pattaya, that ring a bell, Paul????? I had the fish and chips and small Leo, which came to 135 baht. Will be checking out the other foods on the menu later tonight. Lee, might a potential advert for the magazine. I had my cell phone with me but needed to be recharged or I would have taken a picture of the dish they brought out to me. So far the only thing I see wrong is the conflicting prices posted in the menu (and if the wife gets her boob out of my face I can finish this), wall boards, and on the windows at the entrance. Was a little confusing but he charged me the lower prices, which I like better. There were only about a 5 to 10 baht difference in the conflicting price postings. Check the place out for yourself before or after you shop at Lotus. It's located to the right of Lotus exit, a nice bright green color for the building, a sign outside "The Old England" and British/American flags at the entrance.

Now the restaurant has apparently changed its name to Seaside 3, and it all fits into place now.
Seaside 2 is a very well known known and well patronised restaurant just off Soi Bukhow in Pattaya (which is an area similar to khao San Road in Bkk)
The food is typical English grub and incredibly cheap in Seaside 2 and if they bring the same menu here then its worth a try.
On the other hand - the location in Pattaya was perfect with so many cheap hotels and guest houses around - not sure about Udon's location (next to tesco Lotus) though.
I used to make a special effort to eat there in Seaside 2 even though it involved a bit of a trek to get there.
The apple pie and custard was worth the trip- even if I couldn't eat it all as it was a massive portion.
