New visa personal bank details

Post by bumper » May 16, 2016, 12:25 pm

For what it's worth I gave them my bank info, for the past 14 years. I used to have to get a letter from the bank stating the money was from outside Thailand. Last year they were happy with copies of my bank. Things were actually more difficult when I first came here. Only one option if you don't like it. Don't renew and leave.

They don't have to adapt to us we have adapt to them

Anyone know the cost of a multi entry visa?

Bumper, are you referring to the new six month multi-entry visa or the Multiple Re-entry permit for those on an O-A long term visa/extension..?

? What sort of visa are we talking about?

ENTRY visas or EXIT-REENTRY?

Entry visas are obtained out of country and cost about about 1250 baht for a tourist single, 2500 for a non-immigrant single, and about 6000 for multi-entry on both. I assume the 3200 is for the multiple exit-reentry.

An annual with a multi entry 3200 is what it looks like I may just get one if I decide to go out of Country as I did earlier this year. That was only a 1,000 and worked fine. Well tomorrow is the day I will make sure I have enough money with me to anything I want.

Anyone hear anything about the one visa working in the Asian Countries?

Thanks for your help folks

Judging by the news that Bangkok senior residents have had their details available for anyone including some really personal stuff, they will NEVER get a bank account from me at all.

Just a bit of an update:

I noticed something in TV yesterday the infamous form is being issued for completion now in Pattaya. to n be implemented nation wide by the end of the year. It is confusing now some offices say you have to complete it and others say you don't. The article did point out it is a crime to falsify any information. So don't be surprised. There is already a thread going on this I will try to find it.

Will be travelling back to Bangkok via Swampy this coming week
Are we now saying that we require banking information to be readily available if one has an account in Thailand?

Thanks
Ding

The form, as far as I understand it, is only for use at local Immigration Offices when people are completing a 90 day report or applying for a permission to stay.
It is not something (at the moment :D ) that visitors are required to fill in when arriving at either a land or airport Immigration Office...

Sorry this is the best I could find on it. seems to fit as you say.
Went to do my 90 Day Report at Jomtien today....just like I've been doing for the last 14 or so years.....was asked to fill-out a 3 page form with a picture attached??? Things like my bank account number, email address, local bars I hang out in, eye., etc......I filled in my local address and left the rest of the form blank....got a blank stare back and my 90 day report back date in my passport and called it a day.....was told that only have to do the new form once and just bring in my passport the next time.....
This from the Pattaya Forum om Thai Visa only place I could find it.

In reading down through the thread. it said that had English speaking volunteers to help you fill out the form. Some that were asked may be going a bit far such as. Your Fathers name Your Mothers maiden name.

I don't hang out I bars so I guess I can skip that. They will find me rather boring. At this juncture I saw no fee requirements. But, this was not Udon. I don't mind giving them the info as I said boring. What the purpose is escapes me. Won't help to find over stayers that not reporting anyway. hey ask questions that could include what you have in another country. I will say I don't think they need to know what bank accounts I have in the U.S. or what property I might own there.

The value of the form escapes me. But, I will fill it out

The only question I find a little bit odd is 2.6. I would answer Tesco/Lotus and HomePro on that one. Everything else business as usual.
