Real football has already begun.

The perennial sadsack Hamilton Tiger-Cats are an early surprise whilst the Montreal Alouettes look early favourites for the Grey Cup.

NFL starting season later than usual this year. Wonder why? 1st week games are scheduled for Sept. 10-14. Week 17 games on Jan. 3rd. Thanks for the link, WBU.

Any of those CFL teams have domed stadiums (stadia or stadii, prof?) yet, Tilo? Maybe they don't need to play indoors since Grey Cup game is in November,eh?

Toronto and Vancouver (British Columbia Lions) have domed stadiums. Winnipeg, Edmonton and Regina (Saskatchewan Roughriders) can get -10 to -20 degrees in mid-November with blizzards too, but we like the natural conditions, for the most part, up here.

The Toronto Argonauts downed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 19-5 and the Edmonton Eskimos had a great comeback to topple Saskatchewan Roughriders 38-33, or something like that, in three-down football
yesterday.

The season continues.
