I see that UK celebrity chef and multi-millionaire Nigella Lawson, who admitted in a UK court case that she had used cannabis and cocaine, was denied entry to the US:

New Zealand hasn't denied her entry and she was granted a visa to visit NZ. Oh dear the US can sometimes be a big pussy cat. I don't think she has a drug conviction but has only admitted consuming them. Nigella is apparently too much of a risk to be permitted entry into the US. May be she's considered a danger to delicate American youth.

She was denied a Visa for the US because that is their law and was only allowed a (single) 'Special' Visa for NZ - different countries different laws

It turns out Immigration NZ in their desire to help the voluptuous Nigella got it all wrong:

"Immigration NZ says Nigella Lawson was eligible for a visa to visit New Zealand after all, and it has been unable to confirm she had been excluded from the United States.

In a statement, Immigration NZ said it had dealt with Ms Lawson as if she had been excluded so it could get the visa application done quickly, but had not waited for corroboration from authorities.

"In assessing Ms Lawson's visa application we were aware of issues reported in the media about her inability to travel to the United States. In order to process her visa in a timely manner we erred on the side of caution and decided to process her visa as a special direction. This was in case it transpired that she was excluded from travel to the US.

"We have now had an opportunity to review the information supplied as part of her work visa application and we have determined that she is not currently excluded from travel to the United States. As a result Ms Lawson will not need a special direction for future travel to New Zealand unless her circumstances change."

Immigration NZ is not my cup of tea at present as they seem to be making it more difficult for Thai people to get into NZ. Meanwhile big breasted charming white millionaire high achieving women get a Rolls Royce service. I guess that's life folks.

I think many countries will have special rules where someone wanting to gain entry has been barred by another country. Immigration NZ granted her entry even when they thought she might have been banned by the US. I think this was the correct decision. I suspect if NZ denied someone entry the US would have some provision that also means special rules apply to such an applicant for entry into the US.

One interesting aspect of all this is musicians. How do or did bands such as the Rolling Stones manage to travel internationally? Perhaps it was easier in the past. Big boobed Nigella is hardly a threat to youngsters whereas some rock bands might be. Horny devils reportedly liking illicit drugs and lots of sxx etc.

Despite a petition to oust the Bieb back to Canada, the White House is not going to act on this request. Maybe Obama is a Belieber even though Justin has been up to a mess of mischief in the U.S.A.
