Ms. Sinclaire was a UKIP MEP (European Member of Parliament) but is openly lesbian which caused a few issues - she is now an 'Independent' MEP
UKIP are a small right wing political party in the United Kingdom. Their manifesto is a strong desire for the UK to return to some sort of pre-European United Kingdom - a sort of early 1960s heaven I guess.
The story itself is a bit of a nonsense & I have only reproduced it because of this comment by Ms. Sinclaire.
The treatment I received from UKIP is a sad indictment of how politics in the UK has not kept up in the 21st Century
Which is a wonderful comment considering the policies of the party she was once happy to ride on the back of to get the MEP position...
