Ah, but then TB, just like some of the posters on this thread, they would be denying the realities of the situation.. :D

I just wonder how many posters have been put off by sempers offerings.

By all means voice your your opinions on who thinks what on the forum, but please excuse us the sermon type offerings that IMHO seemingly talk down to those not affiliated with your beliefs.

I do not knock them, but I believe they belong in the ICT where the congregation are on the same page.

If the ICT and the church in general wish to attract new patrons they need to move into the 21st century and think relative to what is going on in the real world of today around the globe.

As with P.M,s post, but at the other end of the scale, I find your thoughts do not compliment the offer of a free dinner and the passing mention of the OP,s representative and was certainly not of what we call back home " soap box " ear bashing assault ect. type of thing.

Live and let live and give due recognition to the ones who do not believe as I and many like me reciprocate to others.

To mention religion in a fleeting way as in the OP,s case is acceptable IMHO, but going over the top only gives more fire to non believers, who are after all entitled to their choices also by the way.

Over many years I have found many who speak of god very selfish people and think anyone who doesn,t actively follow their chosen faith, is not worthy of better things to come.

Hypocritical to the extreme also in many cases as once outside their comfort zone / place of worship are really nasty individuals who judge people on their wealth and position, rather than on their worthiness and genuine good heart to others.

Save your biblical thoughts and knowledge for those who can understand your offerings and please show respectful silence for those who do not as P.Mash should have done.

Thank you

Hey friends, fellas, I think its time to end this thread and/ or start your own. Many of you have butchered "sliced and diced" my words too long. Time for the Manadon to speak. And no one asked ME what was my "true intentions" for my kind offer, were.
Well, here it is: I am not a member of ICF nor am I Apolstolic. Just "Christian" fits me fine. When I see places and people like seen at ICF, I will support these and share what I enjoy there. If too many show up for a Christmas service/ meal, I will pay the extra coin. Have you seen their wednesday night feeding for the needy, set right up there on the sidewalk w/ tables and big pots of many things? Its now moved to Thursday night, and you can go "even" just to say Hi, drop off a bag of rice or something. Maybe you like a nice cup of coffee with your free WiFi? Need AA Meetings? Need english classes or Thai ? They have it and its free. And much more. Did you know many Buddists go there? Yeah, they love to see the children sing and they feel invited and comfortatable, and are supported.
Maybe you are holdnig back on something that others should know about? Don't be shy, share something, it will make you feel better. Help people and stop hurting people, you will like yourself much better.
My true intentions were to "offer" something that I see as "good". What do I see? The dog biting the hand of one who feeds him? Shame!
I believe in Networking...there is alot of "unused" talent here in Udon and I think we could do some very great things. You cannot stop or put the Manadon down, I will look for the good in everything and share all I can.
I came out of a very crazy, maybe evil life over 30 years ago, when a Guideon man took the time to approach me and share some good news with me. The rest: hard work, alot of "giving and sharing" (yes, you can do this even if you are poor, I was) and eventually retired at 46 from my own professional business of Dental Technology. Yeah, a punk kid rubbed elbows with some of the finest Implantologists, surgeons, ect. and Millionaires. Am I rich? No, I found the pursuit of money to be vanity and it is the tool being used to enslave the whole world as we speak. Yes, your freedoms are being taken away also, as we speak. Do you get it now? This may be the last year we can freely share our faith. If you do not see this, just look at the "rights" being given to muslims (Islam) by our shadow world government. I do not hate muslims, but I think they are being used as the scapegoat for WW111. It started at 9/11 and is morphing into Police states, spying on our neighbors, one world money, one world government, one world religion.....yeah, is now one foot in the door. This is not open for discussion, it is a fact! So many of you and others in the world have been "dumbed down" and silenced by this "politically correctiveness". Friends, this was a tool used to silence any of you with an opinion contrary to the shadow governments agenda. And its working, you are trying to shut everyone down. And I might as well say, "conspiracy therories" are mostly true, but this "term" has been controlled to make the people who know the truth, look like crazies. Well, again, most conspiracies have been started by yours truely, the shadow government.
I have been successful because I put into practice the truths I have learned from God and the Bible. Anyone can do this, even the chinesse government is acknowleding "there is power in the wisdom of God". They want people to follow these and bless their country with more diversification.
The God I choose to follow, gives me promises and will not lie and cannot lie. And He gives freely, there is no :pay as you go" here.
Friends, all of us have been given a Free Will. We can use it for our own destruction or to be a blessing to ourselves and others. I chose to be a blessing.
Please wrap it up here, stop the disfunction, start your own thread......if you got something good to offer, I may be knocking on your door to learn from you or share with you. One more thing, I am not a preacher, talk to Semperfiguy if you want details, He is smarter than me.
Or better yet....Just say "No thankyou".

trubrit wrote:Semper please don't think I am baiting you but I am confused by what you write on the subject of your religion and your obvious pride at being an ex marine. Were you a pastor in the corp? If not how did you reconcile your role as a killing machine with your religious belief? Its a long while since I read a bible but I seem to recall seeing "Thou shalt not kill" was one of the commandments. During the last war when service was compulsory and desertion could be punished by a death sentence in Britain , we had a special dispensation for those whose faith was genuinely strong, as yours appear to be , they were termed"conscientious objectors."They instead were given work on the home front .Mind you although the government accepted their claim the general population didn't and there were many calls for them to be made to wear a white feather .You however seem to have combined the two roles with pride. How?

Trubrit...you're a sly ol' fox...answering a question with a question and trying to get me off on a rabbit chase. I will be happy to answer your question by PM, but so far as this thread is concerned I think it's time for me to sign off. I must be true to God's Word as follows:

Romans 14:1 NLT
Accept Christians who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.

Titus 2:8 NLT
Let your teaching be so correct that it can't be criticized. Then those who want to argue will be ashamed because they won't have anything bad to say about us.

This has crossed over from a friendly debate to the point of being contentious, and it is no longer helpful or edifying for anyone concerned.

2011 will soon come to a close, and I think it is fitting for me to thank everyone who participates on this forum. You have in a sense been a second family to me during a difficult year of adjustment here in Thailand. I have posted on numerous occasions asking for advice and counsel on various subjects, and you have all been generous, courteous and informative with your responses. I thank God for you, and I pray that 2012 will bring good health, happiness and prosperity to all of you. Each of you deserves a round of applause for being uniquely you! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manadon, I was following your argument along with the church business....no problem.......then you hit on the conspiracy theory and the muslim part. Oh well.

Still, I believe the intentions in your initial invitation were good.
